[Saba Sports News] Recently, Max Verstappen’s manager, Raymond Felton, outlined the conditions required for the Dutch driver to continue with Red Bull Racing in the coming years – “the fastest driver deserves the fastest car.” In an interview with “The Inside Track” podcast, Felton reiterated Verstappen and his team’s loyalty to Red Bull but emphasized that loyalty alone is not enough to secure future cooperation. Felton stated, “Max respects people greatly. Red Bull has been by his side from the very beginning. They put him in the car, made the efforts, and fully prepared him for F1. So, yes, we are loyal, but on the other hand, I have told the management, ‘We have the fastest driver in the pit lane, and I also want to equip him with the fastest car.'” Unlike the mid-season scenario where the RB21 car clearly lost its dominance compared to the MCL39, the current Red Bull car has significantly improved and is competitive again. However, Felton stressed that the situation could change rapidly at any time. “Currently, they still hold the leading position, but this is an exceptionally competitive world.” Nevertheless, he noted that even in the engine project, Red Bull is going all out to build an excellent car and overall package. Finally, Felton added, “We are very satisfied with the current situation. But of course, we need the car to remain competitive to keep winning.”
