[Saba Sports News] According to Italian media reports, Inter and AC Milan are close to purchasing the San Siro stadium and its surrounding area from the Milan city government, with Banco BPM Bank acting as the financial guarantor for this transaction. Official documents reviewed by the media show that Banco BPM Bank has issued an unconditional guarantee totaling €124.07 million to secure the deferred payments. This transaction will be formally recorded by notary Filippo Zabban and involves the real estate complex named “San Siro Metropolitan Functions,” which includes the San Siro stadium and surrounding developable land, covering a total area of approximately 280,000 square meters. Banco BPM Bank has guaranteed the €197 million purchase price payable in installments and committed to paying the due amounts to the city government within 15 days of receiving a request, without needing to first demand payment from the primary debtor. This is a crucial step for finalizing the deal, as Banco BPM Bank ensures the buyers’ financial stability during the transition period and protects the municipal council’s interests from default risk. It is reported that all this awaits the final notarization expected next Tuesday local time.
