The report states that Bissouma suffered financial losses between September 2022 and June 2024. Morris Gomez, 31, was arrested by police one year ago after the player reported the incident. London police confirmed that Gomez was charged in October with two counts of fraud by false representation, each carrying a maximum sentence of ten years. Bissouma, who holds accounts at Coutts Bank – exclusively used by two royal families, billionaires, and celebrities – is alleged to be the victim in these two cases. Court records obtained by British media show that Gomez is accused of dishonestly transferring Bissouma’s funds into his own account without the Premier League star’s knowledge or authorization. The prosecution alleges Gomez obtained a total of £834,334.40 through allegedly illegal bank transfers. It remains unclear what relationship existed between the defendant and Bissouma, or how Gomez gained account access. The defendant, who resides in a £1.4 million six-bedroom mansion in Enfield, North London, will appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court. If the case proceeds to trial, Bissouma may be required to testify. Insiders reveal this incident has caused significant distress to Bissouma. He has endured a difficult year both on and off the pitch, and the pending legal case has undoubtedly exacerbated the situation.
