[Saba Sports News] Lewis Hamilton is facing a difficult situation in his first season with the Ferrari team. His high-profile move from the Mercedes team has so far failed to bring the expected success. With four races remaining in the 2025 season, the seven-time F1 world champion has yet to stand on the podium. When asked if there was still a chance to reach the podium or even win a race this year, Hamilton succinctly replied, “No.” This straightforward negation means he has given up on the idea of winning his first trophy for the Ferrari team this season. So far this season, Hamilton’s performance within the team has been noticeably behind that of his teammate Charles Leclerc, with a 64-point gap in the standings. At the Mexican F1 Grand Prix, it seemed like Hamilton’s best chance to challenge for the podium: starting from third place, he was hit with a 10-second penalty for “leaving the track and gaining an advantage” during a wheel-to-wheel battle with Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, ultimately finishing eighth. Despite this, Hamilton has not completely lost his fighting spirit. He stated that although the current situation is not ideal, the team’s progress continues. For the Ferrari team, Hamilton’s role remains crucial. Ferrari is currently ranked second in the constructors’ championship, leading the Mercedes team by just 1 point and the Red Bull team by 10 points. As the season enters its final stages, every point will determine the final constructors’ ranking.
