[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media reports, a Barcelona fan was arrested by local police after a bus caught fire because he lit pyrotechnics inside the vehicle. The incident occurred ahead of Barcelona’s Champions League match against Club Brugge. A bus carrying some Barcelona fans caught fire after one of the fans ignited pyrotechnics inside the bus. In response, Belgian authorities canceled the planned bus service from the stadium to the city center that was originally intended for away fans. According to sources from FC Barcelona, the individual who caused the fire was previously a club member and is currently a member of a fan group. Additionally, local police seized two other Barcelona fans carrying pyrotechnics at the stadium entrance and inside the venue, respectively. FC Barcelona officials are awaiting confirmation of their identities to determine if they are members and will take appropriate measures upon confirmation. During the match, fans in the Barcelona supporters’ section lit pyrotechnics, and the resulting smoke required emergency medical attention for some fans, with one person even needing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
