Entering the second half of the season, the performance stability of the Red Bull RB21 car has significantly improved, helping Max Verstappen reignite his championship hopes. In the past few races, the Red Bull team has returned to the competitive fray with consecutive victories and multiple podium finishes. Monaghan explained that this is the result of many factors working together. Early in the season, the team began working on the car’s shortcomings. The technical team thought they had identified the problem, but it took several steps to truly resolve it. It wasn’t simply about increasing or decreasing downforce; it was about making all the components work in sequence. At the Monza circuit, the new floor upgrade introduced by the Red Bull team coincided almost perfectly with Verstappen’s victory at the Italian Grand Prix, which also became a crucial node in their rebound. However, Monaghan emphasized that this was not a fluke but the result of overall optimization. The car’s balance and compliance have both improved, but it cannot be attributed to the change of any single part or specific setting. All the modifications fell into place at the right time, even if the timing of the upgrades was somewhat late in the season tail.
