[Saba Sports News] Renowned game developer EA just announced major news: it will not release F1 26 and will instead concentrate resources on fully developing F1 27, scheduled for release in 2027. Notably, this is the first time EA has broken the series’ annual release pattern since 2021, following its acquisition of Codemasters. Reportedly, the decision to skip F1 26 is due to significant changes in F1 sporting and technical regulations for the 2026 season. Compared to hastily developing a completely new title, making expansion updates based on the existing game framework is more efficient and ensures better adaptation quality to the regulatory changes. It also buys sufficient time for the in-depth development of F1 27. We believe this decision is quite friendly for casual players who simply want to experience the fun of F1 racing. On one hand, they don’t have to wait a full year for a new game; they can quickly sync up with the core content of the 2026 season, like cars and rules, through expansion packs, keeping F1 25 feeling fresh.
