[Saba Sports News] Previously, media reports claimed that next year’s F1 Madrid Grand Prix would be postponed, which attracted widespread attention following the news. Recently, Madrid Mayor Martinez Almeida addressed this matter during a media interview. He denied and clarified the rumor, stating that this Grand Prix will be held as scheduled in September. The Madrid Grand Prix will revolve around the IFEMA exhibition center. It is worth noting that this marks Madrid’s return to hosting an F1 event after 45 years. The new “Madring” circuit is not just a racing venue but also a new calling card for Madrid to present to 1.55 billion racing fans worldwide, significantly enhancing the city’s international profile and moving beyond stereotypes like relying solely on football. In recent years, F1 has been keen on expanding city street circuits. Madrid’s hybrid circuit built around the IFEMA exhibition center perfectly satisfies F1’s development needs. The two parties have also signed a 10-year contract, making Madrid the new official home of the “Spanish Grand Prix.” This arrangement enriches F1’s European calendar and provides more viewing opportunities for European audiences.
