[Saba Sports News] DAZN, the broadcaster for the UEFA Champions League in Germany, announced that Borussia Dortmund legend Marco Reus will serve as an expert commentator on the platform. He will make his television debut during his former team’s match next Wednesday. After concluding the MLS season, Reus will take the opportunity in the off-season to try out this new role. Next Wednesday, he will commentate on Borussia Dortmund’s Champions League match against Bodo/Glimt. The 36-year-old Reus signed with the LA Galaxy until the end of 2026 after leaving Dortmund last summer to play in the United States, with reports indicating that this contract may be extended for another year. Therefore, there is still some time before he fully transitions into a role as a full-time television expert. It’s worth noting that former Dortmund players, coaches, and management have long been sought after as match commentators, with others such as Jürgen Klopp, Mats Hummels, and Matthias Sammer currently active on television. In this MLS season, Reus’s LA Galaxy finished 14th in the Western Conference and failed to qualify for the playoffs. The midfielder appeared in 21 league matches, scoring 5 goals and providing 8 assists.
