[Saba Sports News] According to Portuguese media reports, with Ousmane Diomandé’s contract renewal settled, the management of Sporting CP has secured the renewals of seven players. Now, the focus for Sporting SAD is the contract renewal of Francisco Trincão. As one of the indispensable players under Rui Borges, Trincão, wearing the number 17 jersey, has a contract that runs until June 2027. However, he has been in negotiations with Sporting regarding contract revisions for several months.
The parties have reached a consensus, whereby the 25-year-old Portuguese international will renew his contract with the club until 2030 and become one of the captains of Sporting CP. However, no agreement has been reached regarding the salary in Trincão’s new contract, indicating that the player’s agent and the club’s management are still engaged in more complex negotiations. Notably, the forward has a release clause set at €60 million, and this summer he attracted interest from Premier League giants like Manchester United, Arsenal, and Newcastle.
