[Saba Sports News] According to recent media reports, the family of the late F1 driver Jules Bianchi has experienced a break-in, during which multiple precious go-karts were stolen. This news quickly garnered public attention after it was leaked. Following the theft, Bianchi’s father issued a plea for help on social media, stating that the stolen items included nine go-kart chassis and the last competitive go-kart used by Bianchi before he moved to single-seater racing.
For the family, the emotional value of these go-karts far exceeds their material worth, especially that last competitive go-kart, which witnessed the growth trajectory of Bianchi’s early racing career and is an invaluable treasure that carries the family’s memories and the legend’s beginning. This talented driver, who was once part of Ferrari’s youth training system, suffered severe injuries in an accident during the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix and tragically passed away nine months later, becoming the first driver to lose his life in an F1-related incident since Ayrton Senna in 1994.
His tragedy directly prompted significant reforms in F1’s safety systems, with the widespread adoption of key safety equipment such as the virtual safety car and the Halo protection system, all of which would not have been possible without his sacrifice.
