[Saba Sports News] According to reports from British media, England fans will have the opportunity to create a brand new singing stand at Wembley Stadium to enhance the atmosphere during home matches. This trial program will kick off on March 31 during a friendly match against Japan, which will also be the last home game for the Three Lions before the World Cup. Even head coach Thomas Tuchel has complained about the dull atmosphere at Wembley; after a 3-0 victory over Wales last October, he remarked, “The whole stadium was silent, completely still. We never received any energy feedback from the stands.” Many fans have also expressed dissatisfaction with the matchday atmosphere. Members of the England traveling fan club recently received an email inviting them to relocate to a newly established singing stand area behind the goal for the match against Japan, with applications due by tomorrow. If the trial is successful, the singing stand may continue through the UEFA Nations League matches in the fall after the World Cup. The draw for this UEFA Nations League edition will take place in Brussels on February 12, and England, which has been elevated to League A, may face off against top European teams again.
