[Saba Sports News] This season, Paul Pogba has made only 3 appearances for Monaco after his suspension, totaling just 30 minutes on the field due to recurring injuries. Recently, Monaco excluded him from their Champions League roster. According to French media reports, Monaco believes it is a smarter choice to include players who can actually participate in the Champions League squad. Unless there are unexpected circumstances, it is hard to imagine Pogba returning to the pitch by the end of the month. Moreover, very few players can return to their peak after being away from the field for over two years, so his comeback path is filled with uncertainty.
Meanwhile, even though he can only watch from the sidelines, Pogba continues to offer advice to the team in the locker room without overstepping his bounds. Teammates have also mentioned his positive influence off the pitch. Pogba is enjoying his time in Monaco and still feels like a part of the team. From an outsider’s perspective, he acts like a super ambassador for the club. However, this ambassador commands a hefty salary, which poses a problem for Monaco, especially given their already strained financial situation in light of UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations. This raises questions about whether a contract termination is being considered.
