[Saba Sports News] The All England Open Badminton Championships started in 1899 and is the oldest and most authoritative badminton event in the world. The 2026 All England Open Badminton Championships will be held from March 3 to 8 in Birmingham. Thai men’s singles player Kunlavut Vitidsarn is one of the favorites to win this year’s championship. Ahead of the tournament, in a media interview, he stated that winning the All England Open Badminton Championships is one of his three major dreams. He hopes to put on his best performance this year because next year’s competition format will change to 11 days and will include group stages, bringing many new things to adapt to. Therefore, this year is his last chance to compete under the current format, and he hopes to make the most of it. In addition to winning the All England Open Badminton Championships, Kunlavut’s other two dreams are winning an Olympic gold medal in men’s singles and the BWF World Tour Finals men’s singles championship.
The editor believes that in the badminton world, which generally pursues a slim physique, Kunlavut’s presence is particularly special. His body does have a bit of roundness, and when he runs, you can even see a slight jiggle in his cheeks. It is precisely this “non-standard” physique that contains incredible explosiveness and unbelievable agility. If he continues to persevere, I believe Kunlavut will achieve his three championship dreams in the field of badminton.
