[Saba Sports News] During Real Madrid’s 0-1 defeat to Getafe, Franco Mastantuono was sent off in stoppage time. According to Spanish media, the referee noted in his match report that Mastantuono had said to him: “Vaya vergüenza, vaya puta vergüenza” (What a disgrace, what a f***ing disgrace). A day later, DAZN footage captured more abusive language from Mastantuono as he walked to the dressing room after being sent off. Fuming, he shouted: “No se le puede hablar al árbitro. ¡La cncha de su madre! ¡Hijo de pta!” (You can’t talk to the referee! F*** your mother! You son of a b****!). Combined with the referee’s report, Mastantuono could face a two-match ban. Article 124 of the league rules explicitly states that this penalty applies to anyone who “treats referees, match officials or sports authorities with contempt or disrespect.”
The editor believes that these inappropriate remarks will not only guarantee Mastantuono’s absence from the next match against Celta, but may even lead to a long-term ban. Moreover, his behavior of complaining to the fourth official as he left the pitch undoubtedly added fuel to the fire.
