[Saba Sports News] Recently, Indonesian badminton player Leo Rolly Carnando publicly announced his engagement to teammate Indah Cahya Sari Jamil via social media, generating strong attention from fans. In the photos, Carnando and Jamil are dressed in traditional Indonesian attire, showcasing their engagement rings to the camera, with beaming smiles that radiate happiness. The loving scene led fans to leave congratulations and blessings.
According to reports, Carnando is a men’s doubles badminton player from Indonesia. Despite being only 1.71 meters tall, he has managed to stand out in the competitive Indonesian men’s doubles scene, thanks to his agility and excellent touch. In fact, Carnando also competed in the mixed doubles category during his youth and was partnered with his fiancée Jamil. They grew up together, practiced together, and even won the mixed doubles championship at the 2018 World Junior Badminton Championships and secured second place in 2019. However, for reasons unknown, they did not partner together for mixed doubles once they moved into the adult category.
The editor believes that relationships among badminton team members are quite common and reflect a humane and relatively tolerant management style. Under the intense and closed training environment, with long-term cohabitation and a narrow social circle, it is easy to develop emotional dependencies.
