[Saba Sports News] According to German media reports, Bayern Munich is planning to build a new training pitch on the very site where Carlo Ancelotti, during his time as Bayern manager, once demanded the club invest heavily in constructing a fitness training complex—even at the cost of demolishing the existing facility, which cost €1 million to build at the time. The site was created by former Bayern manager Carlo Ancelotti at a cost of €1 million during the 2016–17 season. It features sprint ramps with two different gradients, a sand pit for recovery, cobblestone paths and bark-covered trails for barefoot training, balance beams, a synthetic pitch with basketball hoops, and a beach volleyball court. This extravagant facility has barely been used since Ancelotti was sacked. It is understood that the new pitch will be fitted with one-metre-high privacy screens, identical to those on the existing Pitch 1 and Pitch 2, allowing the team to hold fully closed training sessions and ensuring the players are not overlooked by the public.
The editor believes that this construction plan is unlikely to please Bayern Munich fans, especially since some supporters travel specially from all over Germany just to catch a glimpse of their idols.
