[Saba Sports News] Recently, Marco Rossi, head coach of the Hungarian national team, responded in an interview to comments made by Liverpool manager Arne Slot regarding Dominik Szoboszlai’s lack of rest. Earlier, Slot had stated: “The two-week international break is rest for me, but not for the players.” Hungary captain Szoboszlai has made 43 appearances for Liverpool this season and is arguably one of the players who most needs rest. In response, Hungary coach Marco Rossi said: “I have never spoken to Slot. I never interfere in anyone else’s decisions, even when he keeps playing Szoboszlai at full-back. I expect club managers not to tell the national team captain what to do. I am under no obligation to play or not play anyone. If Szoboszlai tells me he wants rest, I will allow it — just as I do with every other player.”
The editor believes that since Szoboszlai is the captain of the Hungarian national team, the national team jersey means a great deal to him. The interests of the national team are what everyone prioritizes, and this is also the key to their success.
