[Saba Sports News] NBA analyst Nick Wright considers two of LeBron James’ records in the NBA as virtually unbreakable. LeBron has recently surpassed the 39,000-point mark, a milestone Wright believes he might end at around 40,000 points.
He argues that for current stars like Giannis Antetokounmpo to reach this level, they would need to average 30 points per game for 11 years, playing 75 games each season. Luka Doncic would have to average 35 points per game for 12 years under the same conditions.
The second record is LeBron’s accumulated playing minutes, currently over 66,000. For comparison, Giannis has played around 26,000 minutes. To come close to LeBron’s record, a player would need to average 36 minutes per game, play 90 games a year (including postseason), and maintain this for 20 years.
Wright emphasizes that these records are unbreakable, not because of a lack of talent but due to the immense physical demands and consistency required. He places these achievements beyond typical Greatest of All Time debates, highlighting their sheer unlikelihood in the current league context. LeBron, who was previously reported as approaching the all-time scoring record, remains a significant figure in basketball, setting standards that may stand unchallenged for generations.
