[Saba Sports News] Everton’s potential suitor John Textor wants to bring in top-tier coach Abel Ferreira if he wins control of the club, reports The Sun. Tecto is a big fan of the Portuguese coach, who led Palmeiras to the Liga title last season.

Tector had seen Ferreira’s work up close and was eager to work with him. Ferreira’s contract does not expire until the end of next year, which may require a buyout compensation, but that will not delay Tector’s plans. The American is trying to finalise a takeover deal as well as selling his stake in Crystal Palace, which is also being bid for by fellow Americans Josh Harris and David Blitzer. Turk has made up his mind to buy Everton, which would heap pressure on manager Sean Dyche, who steered the team through difficult circumstances last season but has made a poor start to this one.
Another Portuguese coach, Paulo Fonseca, was also favoured by Tecto, but getting him to leave Milan was also difficult. Mr. Tector seems to have a good sense of judgment when choosing a coach and was behind the appointment of Oliver Glasner. The Austrian replaced Roy Hodgson at Selhurst Park in February and secured the first half of the season with seven wins in 13 games.
