[Saba Sports News] Blackwater still has a chance to advance to the PBA Governors’ Cup playoffs, but the path is very narrow and the team will have to work hard to get through it.

Head coach Jeff Cariaso said he and the rest of the Blackwater team will give it their all, and the challenge begins with Sunday’s game against Phoenix Super LPG. Phoenix are out of the top four playoff spots after failing to win their first seven Group B games.
If the Phoenix can beat Blackwater by at least 13 points and go on to win their next matches in Barangay Ginebra on Wednesday and NLEX two days later, they can finish fifth in the group at best.
Currently, Blackwater is 3-4, tied with NLEX for fourth place in the group, and theoretically has a slight chance to advance. But Blackwater’s prospects remain grim against San Miguel Beer, which has been doing well recently, and Rain or Shine, the team’s final group match, which ends on Sept. 23.
