Lillard said: “I play for this, we all play for this, this is why I work hard.” When I look at my resume, of course I want to win a gold medal, make the All-NBA team, and I want the NBA championship to be on it. Everyone wants to experience the championship parade and make the city proud, we all want to win and that’s definitely something I want to accomplish before I retire.”

Speaking about his feud with the Warriors, Lillard said he would rather lose every year than join the Warriors, he said: “I respect what they’ve done in the last eight or nine years, it’s my hometown. Obviously, I lose to them a lot. But I can’t be one of them. It doesn’t make any sense. I’ve never done anything like that. I’d rather lose every year until I do that.”
