Caelan Tiongson, Andrei Caracut and Gian Mamuyac provided key firepower, while Adrian Nocum and Aaron Fuller fueled the deadly 24-4 counter-attack. The Elasto Painters clinched the game 119-101 at 1:22, overcoming a 95-97 deficit.
In the end, Rain or Shine repeated its previous 116-99 win and improved its leading record in Class B to 5-1.
Nocum was outstanding, finishing with 16 points and a career-high 10 rebounds for his first career double-double; Fuller led the comeback with 16 points and 11 rebounds despite foul trouble, recovering from a 112-113 loss to San Miguel Beer last Thursday.
Mamuyac contributed 14 points, including a pair of key 3-pointers to fuel a key comeback. Meanwhile, Rain or Shine’s five other players scored in double figures, helping the team take full control of a game that featured 14 tiebreaks and eight lead transitions.
