Randle, who is about to turn 30, spent five seasons with the Knicks, averaging 22.6 points, 9.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists in 330 regular season games. He also appeared in 15 playoff games, averaging 16.6 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists. However, his performance in the playoffs was significantly worse than that in the regular season, with a decline in all statistics and shooting percentage.
Although Randle failed to help the team to win the championship, but his performance in the Knicks is still quite good. According to US media statistics, in the past 30 years, only two Knicks players have been selected to the all-NBA team repeatedly: Carmelo Anthony and Randle. Randle was named to the second team of the year in 2021 and the third team of the year in 2023.
Randl’s future with the Minnesota Timberwolves remains up in the air. “The big thing is Randle’s potential with the Timberwolves — he played well under Chris Finch when he was an assistant coach with the Pelicans,” ESPN reporter Ramona Shelburne said.
