[Saba Sports News] Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon is set to miss upcoming games due to substantial injuries from a dog bite incident. Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that Gordon sustained lacerations on his face and right hand, requiring 21 stitches. Although in good condition, his recovery will necessitate a period of healing.
The incident occurred after the Nuggets’ Christmas Day game against the Golden State Warriors, in which Gordon played 32 minutes, contributing to Denver’s 120-114 victory.
Dog bite injuries among professional athletes aren’t unheard of, but Gordon’s case is notably severe, leading to significant time away from the court. However, the Nuggets are optimistic about his full recovery and expect him to return this season, which is encouraging news for both Gordon and the team.
