[Saba Sports News] In the Coppa Italia semifinals, Napoli defeated AC Milan 2-0. Notably, AC Milan’s coach Massimiliano Allegri exhibited irrational behavior during the match, clashing with Napoli’s sports coordinator, Aurelio De Laurentiis. According to reports from Italy, Allegri severely insulted De Laurentiis. In front of dozens of spectators and live television cameras, Allegri repeatedly used offensive language to verbally abuse De Laurentiis. Allegri yelled at De Laurentiis, saying, “Sit down, idiot,” and called him “stupid” and a “butt-kisser.”
The harshness of his words was deemed unacceptable by Napoli, and what was even more intolerable was that the incident was completely overlooked. Following the match, Napoli was compelled to issue an official statement condemning Allegri’s behavior, seeking attention for the matter. Although Napoli did not seek disciplinary action in the statement, it was clear that they did not wish for the incident to be swept under the rug.
However, match officials have documented the incident, and the referee’s report has also mentioned it. Allegri may face fines or suspension as a consequence.
