[Saba Sports News] As a current legendary F1 driver, Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin has won both the Monaco Grand Prix and the Le Mans 24 Hours endurance race. However, he has yet to win the Indy 500. If he achieves this goal, he would become a “Triple Crown” champion in motorsport. Recently, when asked about this during a media interview, Alonso’s response was unexpected. He said: “I am currently very focused on F1, and in the next two or three years, I want to win my third world championship. I have tried the Indy 500 three times before but was unsuccessful; it is not currently in my plans.” The achievement of becoming a “Triple Crown” champion is a coveted goal for every driver. Despite having a long-term contract now, there will still be significant opportunities in the future for Alonso to pursue this project.
