[Saba Sports News] South Korean badminton star An Se-young has just won the women’s singles championship at the Indonesian Open. After the match, she frankly stated that she knows opponents from various countries are studying her, but she is not afraid of it. An Se-young clearly understands that as the world No. 1 and Olympic champion, becoming the key target of opponents’ study is inevitable. She can objectively recognize that she has many things to improve, which is not self-deprecation but an objective assessment of the situation, enabling her to more targetedly consider countermeasures. She hopes to become a player who never loses games; this persistent pursuit of victory will drive her to continuously improve herself. To date, she has achieved an astonishing record of 32 wins and 1 loss this year, winning five individual championships in the current season. Additionally, An Se-young currently has the highest number of 66 wins in the Super 1000 series among female players. The editor believes that Coach Park Joo Bong’s guidance has been very helpful for An Se-young; his trust and encouragement have made her more confident during competitions and able to stay focused.
