[Saba Sports News] Manchester United star Antony, currently playing in La Liga for Real Betis, recently gained attention due to his impressive performances. Recently, he accepted an interview with local media. In addition to discussing his current experiences playing in Spain, he also talked about his childhood. Antony revealed that he was actually born prematurely. He said, “I was born seven months after conception; the doctors said my mother and I could only save one. Thanks be to God, both my mom and I survived unscathed, but challenges never ceased since my birth.” Antony had a tough childhood. He was born in a slum in Osasco, Sao Paulo, Brazil, a place locals called “Little Hell,” where drug dealers and violence reigned. He had to walk past corpses to go to school every day, with little food available for practice during the day. Living conditions were extremely difficult, often without proper meals, and even lacking decent shoes. Despite all these hardships, Antony saw football as his sole means of changing his fate. He trained hard on makeshift fields in the slums, with the circular marks on the ground serving as evidence of his efforts. Thanks to his talent and hard work, he was eventually discovered by scouts from Sao Paulo’s youth academy and formally joined their system, embarking on his football dream journey.
