[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media reports, Atletico Madrid first-team players and club executives visited the construction site of the Sports City project to observe the progress of the new training center up close. Reports indicate that the team bus departed from the Metropolitano Stadium and transported the players to various locations within the Sports City for the tour. Before preparing for their match against Sevilla, the players trained at the Metropolitano Stadium and made a special stop to visit the site of the High-Performance Center. The center covers 65,000 square meters and includes five football fields and a small stadium with a capacity of 6,000 spectators. The players also toured other areas of the Sports City, experiencing the scale of this public-private partnership project firsthand. The project, jointly initiated by the Madrid City Council and Atletico Madrid, aims to revitalize the northeastern part of the capital. Atletico Madrid has invested over €350 million in the project, which spans more than 265,000 square meters dedicated to leisure and sports activities. It will benefit not only residents of the San Blas-Canillejas district but also all Madrid citizens and visitors.
