[Saba Sports News] Day 2 of the third Test between Australia and Pakistan at the Sydney Cricket Ground was marred by rain, resulting in only 46 overs being bowled. Australia closed the day at 116/2, with Marnus Labuschagne (23*) and Steven Smith (6*) at the crease.
During the limited cricketing action, a comical moment occurred as Pakistan seamer Aamer Jamal attempted to bowl without a ball in his hand during the 46th over of Australia’s innings. He halted his run-up and displayed empty palms to the batter, drawing laughter from commentators Michael Vaughan and Wasim Akram.
Aamer Jamal had played a crucial role in Pakistan’s first innings, scoring a valiant 82 (97) and helping his team recover from 220/7 to reach 313. He also dismissed in-form Usman Khawaja for 47. Jamal is the second-highest wicket-taker of the series for Pakistan, with 13 wickets from five innings at an average of 23.30. His best performance of 6/111 came on his Test debut in Perth.
In the match, Australia resumed their innings on 6/0 on Day 2, with David Warner playing his final Test innings. He was dismissed for 34 by Agha Salman, receiving a warm reception from the home crowd in his farewell game.
