[Saba Sports News] LiAngelo Ball, the middle Ball brother in the famous basketball family, has sparked buzz by expressing interest in facing Jake Paul in the ring. Speaking on the What An Experience podcast, which he hosts with his older brother Lonzo and friends, LiAngelo said he’d consider fighting the YouTuber-turned-boxer—for the right payday.
However, LiAngelo admitted he’d need a few months to train, joking that Paul would “sleep me in a boxing match” as things stand. While Paul’s boxing career is still semi-serious at best, he’s gained a reputation for dominating athletes without fighting backgrounds—including basketball players.
At 6-foot-5, LiAngelo has a height edge over the 6-foot-1 Paul, but that might not be enough to overcome Paul’s experience. Still, the idea of a Ball vs. Paul matchup—especially with LaVar Ball as a potential promoter—could provide pure entertainment value.
That said, more qualified and eager opponents likely await Paul, fresh off his recent win over 58-year-old Mike Tyson, leaving LiAngelo’s challenge as a long shot for now
