[Saba Sports News] Italian media reports that Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni’s home was burglarized while he was playing in a midweek Champions League match. The incident occurred on the evening of November 5 local time, while Bastoni was playing for Inter against Almaty Kairat in the Champions League. At least four masked intruders gained entry through a ventilation shaft and fled swiftly within minutes. After nightfall, the thieves scaled the gate and entered through the grille of the villa’s external ventilation system. Once inside, they headed directly for the bedrooms and walk-in closet. The house was empty during the burglary. The robbers escaped with luxury bags and watches. Although a complete inventory of stolen items is still being compiled, the value involved is confirmed to be significant. Based on preliminary scattered information, four assailants dressed in dark clothing, with faces obscured by hats and scarves, entered the residence through a wolf’s mouth-like structure. Triggering the alarm system, the pressed-for-time intruders headed straight for the bedroom, seizing the most readily accessible valuables from the closet. The entire operation lasted only a few minutes. The perpetrators had fled before the Carabinieri arrived. Currently, the Carabinieri from the Grupmonte barracks and the operational unit of the Bergamo Carabinieri company are reviewing surveillance footage, with the primary focus being the villa’s private security camera system.
