[Saba Sports News] According to French media reports, France’s highest appeal court has rejected Ben Arfa’s claims against Paris Saint-Germain. Ben Arfa played for Paris Saint-Germain from 2016 to 2018 and made offensive comments about the Emir of Qatar in April 2017, with Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the owner of Paris Saint-Germain and a Qatari, being the target. Afterward, Ben Arfa was excluded from the first team of Paris Saint-Germain, losing his match opportunities until he left at the end of his contract in the summer of 2018. Ben Arfa accused Paris Saint-Germain of moral harassment and sought 77 million euros in compensation. In a 2023 hearing at the Paris Saint-Germain appeal court, some of Ben Arfa’s claims were partially supported, and it was ruled that Paris Saint-Germain should pay him 100,000 euros plus symbolic 1 euro. Later, the case went to France’s highest appeal court, which rejected Ben Arfa’s request, stating that there was no moral harassment by Paris Saint-Germain. This judgment ends the long-running soap opera.
