[Saba Sports News] Ben Simmons has faced criticism and failed to meet expectations in recent seasons, but the Brooklyn Nets point guard believes things are about to turn around.
Speaking to the media ahead of training camp, Simmons reminded everyone of his abilities, emphasizing that when healthy, he’s “pretty good.”
In an interview with YES Network, Simmons said, “I think people forget, you know, me as a player when I’m healthy. I can play basketball.” When asked about his ranking 14th all-time in NBA triple-doubles, he bluntly stated it’s proof that he’s “not that bad at basketball.”
Simmons, now reportedly fully healthy after back issues and surgery, has shown an improved shot in recent workouts.
However, his ability to stay injury-free and perform during games remains the key question. With expectations at an all-time low, any return to form will surprise many.
