[Saba Sports News] The new Bundesliga season, scheduled to start at the end of August, will adopt the rules applied during the European Championship. According to recent news from German media, only the team captain will be allowed to communicate with the referee on the field. This new regulation, successfully introduced by UEFA during the European Championships, aims to prevent players from surrounding the referee. Starting from the new season, the Bundesliga, Bundesliga 2, Bundesliga 3, and regional leagues will also adopt this rule. This change is viewed positively, as it eliminates excessive arguments and disruptions caused by players surrounding the referee, allowing the referee to focus more on the game itself. Additionally, it empowers the team captain to fulfill their leadership role and protect the team’s interests.
