Chelsea reached an agreement with Sporting Portugal in March to sign this 18-year-old Portuguese winger for £40 million. Kunda will continue his development in Portugal this season and is scheduled to officially join the Blues in the summer of 2026, preparing for the 2026-27 season. An interesting anecdote about Kunda’s career start is that he began training in jeans, later moved to Benfica, and eventually made his mark at Sporting Portugal. Although Manchester United was also interested in signing him, Chelsea secured the deal first. To adapt to the Premier League, Kunda is actively preparing through intensive English courses and muscle training, and has already attended Chelsea matches for inspection.
