[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Chelsea will pay players over £10 million in bonuses for winning the FIFA Club World Cup. The club defeated Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 in the final held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey in July, securing the title in the rebranded FIFA Club World Cup. This victory brought the club approximately 114.6 million (84.4 million pounds). The club then allocated a bonus pool of 15.5 million (11.4 million pounds), which will be evenly distributed among all players who participated in the tournament under manager Enzo Maresca. Before deducting currency conversion costs, employer-related costs, taxes, and social security contributions, each player received more than 500,000 in total bonuses. Chelsea earned over 100 million in bonuses for participating in the four-week U.S. event, with runners-up Paris Saint-Germain earning 106.9 million, and Real Madrid earning 82.5 million. Additionally, this extra income helped the Blues remain active in the summer transfer market, with new signings such as Joao Pedro, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Jorrel Hato, and Liam Delap joining Stamford Bridge.
