[Saba Sports News] On the afternoon of April 16th, the Badminton Association of Malaysia announced through their social media account that the previously separated mixed doubles pair, Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei, will resume their partnership. It is reported that this decision was made in response to the players’ requests and after numerous discussions between the coaching team and the players. This duo had previously achieved a career-high world ranking of third, and now, they will focus their efforts back on the international stage—the Singapore Badminton Open (May 27th to June 1st), hoping to regain their best form. Just over half a month ago, the Badminton Association of Malaysia officially announced that Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei would be separated. Chen Tang Jie was paired with Chan Wen Tse, while Toh Ee Wei was paired with Loo Bing Kun, with plans for the new partnerships to compete in the BWF World Tour starting in May, which includes five tournaments in Chinese Taipei, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia. According to the current registration situation, the lists for the Chinese Taipei Badminton Open, the Thailand Badminton Open, and the Malaysia Masters have been released, with Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei competing with their new partners. For the Singapore Badminton Open, whose registration deadline was April 15th, the two registered just in time and announced their official reunion.
