[Saba Sports News] According to recent media
reports, the upcoming 2024 F1 Chinese Grand Prix at the Shanghai International
Circuit will feature new technological advancements. The track has undergone
repairs, particularly focusing on the bumpy section above the tunnel, utilizing
the latest technological means. This innovative repair method is a world-first
attempt in track surface restoration. If the technology receives recognition
from the FIA (Federation Internationale de l’Automobile) and the majority of
teams, as well as passes the test during this event, it is expected to be
widely adopted worldwide. In preparation for the significant return of the
Chinese Grand Prix, the Shanghai International Circuit has implemented several
tasks in stages. These include overall venue repairs, track surface
maintenance, relocation of the TV broadcast area, and software and hardware
upgrades. These efforts highlight the importance placed on the event and its
successful execution. Additionally, during this year’s F1 race week, the event
plans to host a racing carnival and other activities for the first time. The
waterscape square will serve as the main event venue, providing the audience
with a multifaceted experience encompassing music, food, and entertainment.
This aims to transform the F1 race week into a festival-like atmosphere in
Shanghai.
