[Saba Sports News] Recently, Inter star Juan Cuadrado announced on social media that he has obtained Italian citizenship. On Monday local time, Cuadrado stated on social media: “After many years (2009-2024), I have officially become an Italian citizen. Thank you, Italy.” Cuadrado, originally Colombian, entered Italian football in 2009 with Udinese and subsequently played for various Serie A teams such as Lecce, Fiorentina, Juventus, and Inter. In February 2015, Cuadrado briefly joined Chelsea for half a season, aiding the Blues in winning the Premier League championship. Additionally, Cuadrado secured five Serie A titles with Juventus. This season, Cuadrado clinched another Serie A championship with Inter. Cuadrado has now spent 15 years playing football in Italy and has long been considered “Italian.”
