[Saba Sports News] Former Manchester United legend Paul Scholes recently appeared on a talk show, where he discussed his experience raising his autistic son, Aiden. Following the interview, his daughter expressed her deep respect for him. Scholes’ son, Aiden, was diagnosed with “non-verbal autism” at the age of two and a half, a severe form of the condition. He is unable to communicate verbally and can only express himself through sounds, which are understood only by his closest family members. He has no concept of time and cannot distinguish days of the week but relies on fixed daily routines to determine the day. Aiden’s condition significantly impacted Scholes’ career. At one point, Scholes had to adjust his schedule to care for Aiden while working as a commentator for TNT Sports. However, this led to emotional fluctuations in Aiden, including behaviors like biting and scratching. Ultimately, Scholes decided to resign from his live commentary role to better care for Aiden, arranging all his work around his son’s schedule. His daughter admitted that her father’s character and way of handling life have become her role model, helping her strive to grow in such a unique family environment.
