Sports News] According to reports from British media, there are negotiations
underway between Disney and Liverpool regarding the purchase of a documentary
that Liverpool are currently filming for the 2023-24 season. Liverpool
officials had previously revealed that the club is producing a multi-episode
documentary focusing on their upcoming season. It is rumored that the potential
deal with Disney could bring in around £10 million in revenue for Liverpool.
Both Amazon and Netflix reportedly declined the opportunity to purchase the
documentary due to concerns about limited access to team locker rooms, which
has put Disney as the leading contender. Liverpool are reportedly enticed by
the funding offered by Disney, outweighing any limited demands from manager
Jurgen Klopp and the team. The club has already signed a contract with a
London-based production company, and filming began in December. The intention
is to sell the documentary to TV networks or streaming services.
