[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, American gaming giant Electronic Arts (EA) has issued an official press release announcing its acceptance of a full buyout proposal valued at $55 billion. This transaction becomes the largest full-sponsor privatization investment in history, with the acquirers including Newcastle’s financial backer, the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF). Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA), a global leader in interactive entertainment, recently announced that it has entered into a definitive acquisition agreement with a consortium of investors including PIF, Silver Lake, and Affinity Partners. This all-cash transaction values EA at approximately $55 billion. The deal will enable EA to accelerate innovation and growth to shape the future of entertainment. According to the agreement terms, the consortium will acquire 100% of EA’s shares, with PIF rolling over its existing 9.9% stake in the company. EA shareholders will receive $210 in cash per share. This acquisition price represents a 25% premium over EA’s unaffected closing price of $168.32 on September 25, 2025 (the last fully unaffected trading day), and also exceeds EA’s historical high of $179.01 on August 14, 2025, before any market influence.
