[Saba Sports News] Max Verstappen delivered a textbook reversal to break McLaren’s dominance in the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. Dutchman Max Verstappen overtook Oscar Piastri early in the race and eventually won the season’s second crown with a dominant performance. This victory not only ended McLaren’s ambition for four consecutive wins but also revealed the absolute advantage of Red Bull’s RB21 car in high-speed corners. Technical data shows that Red Bull’s upgrades this time demonstrated astonishing efficiency in high-speed bends—Verstappen maintained full throttle through the famous Tamburello corner while Piastri had to slightly reduce speed. This difference gave the RB21 a hidden advantage of 0.3 seconds per lap; moreover, Red Bull managed their tire strategy precisely, increasing the gap to over one second in the later stages of the race. When asked if this marks the return of the Red Bull dynasty, technical director Pierre Wache only smiled mysteriously, saying, “We have only unlocked 40% of the upgrade potential.” As F1 enters the European circuit, Red Bull’s triumph could be a decisive turning point in the 2025 championship battle.
