[Saba Sports News] The 2025 Bahrain pre-season testing recently commenced, but the first day encountered an embarrassing incident when a regional power outage interrupted testing for over an hour, severely slowing the drivers’ testing progress. This was undoubtedly an unexpected challenge for the F1 teams conducting the tests, as they rely on these facilities to collect and analyze data. Fortunately, the event officials decided to extend the testing time by an hour to compensate for the time lost due to the power outage. Notably, among the many teams testing, McLaren’s performance was surprisingly impressive, with Lando Norris quickly showcasing strong competitiveness by clocking a fastest lap of 1 minute and 30 seconds on C3 tires, 0.4 seconds faster than Charles Leclerc of Ferrari. It is believed that McLaren has the potential to continue defending its team championship title, but this requires the team to make efforts in various areas. They need to maintain the stability and competitiveness of their car to stay ahead in the fierce F1 competition.
