[Saba Sports News] As the 2025 season enters its second half, the battle between McLaren’s two stars, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, is intensifying. Who will eventually win the world championship has become a hot topic. Former F1 driver Jolyon Palmer believes that in crucial moments, Norris will beat his teammate through rhythm and momentum, achieving a major breakthrough in his career. Currently, Piastri leads the standings by a narrow margin of 8 points and has already won five races this season. His consistency is impressive, scoring points in almost every race, with only two races where he didn’t make the podium. However, Norris has been performing strongly recently, winning the last two grand prix, especially in Austria, where he defended against Piastri’s aggressive attack and maintained control of the pace. Before that, in Canada, Norris had also managed to dominate Piastri but lost due to a collision during a close battle. Palmer analyzed that Norris will find his rhythm in the later part of the season and create a gap through three to four strong performances, gaining an advantage in the championship race. He also pointed out that if the championship battle goes all the way to the final race with tied points, whether Piastri can remain calm under pressure will be the key to determining the winner.
