He believes that among many top teams and drivers, McLaren will be the most favored team to win the championship, while Max Verstappen will likely remain the top individual contender. However, Lewis Hamilton, who has recently transferred to the Ferrari team, is unlikely to win the individual championship, although he will certainly secure some race wins. Brundle noted, “Last season was regarded as relatively poor for him in his F1 career, even though he was still able to produce miracles in individual races, his overall performance was inconsistent. In the new season, Hamilton’s transfer to Ferrari and pairing with Charles Leclerc provides him with new opportunities and challenges. However, adapting to a new team and car requires time and process. It remains uncertain whether Hamilton can quickly integrate into the new environment and perform at his best.” The new F1 season indeed presents a scenario of multiple strong contenders. Verstappen, as a four-time consecutive champion, has undeniable strength and stability. While Ferrari showed some improvement in the latter half of last season, it still has some gaps compared to Red Bull and other teams.
