[Saba Sports News] On December 20, Red Bull Racing announced that Isack Hadjar, the runner-up of the F2 season, has officially joined for the 2024 season. Records show that the 20-year-old Hadjar achieved four victories and stood on the podium eight times in the 2024 FIA Formula 2 Championship. He earned a well-deserved opportunity for promotion to F1 with an incredible season. In an interview, Hadjar expressed his excitement, stating that moving from karting to single-seater racing at various levels and now entering F1 is a moment he has worked towards his whole life, fulfilling his dream. He feels like he is entering a whole new world and looks forward to competing with the best drivers in the world; he is also eager to work with Yuki Tsunoda and hopes to learn from him. Hadjar revealed that Tsunoda is his idol, as they both went through the Red Bull junior program and followed similar paths to F1. Peter Bayer, CEO of Red Bull Racing, stated that as a sister team and a breeding ground for F1 talent, Red Bull Racing’s strategic goal is to nurture and develop drivers to prepare them for their next steps. He believes that bringing in a young driver aligns with their mission to attract younger audiences, and they look forward to starting the F1 journey with both new and old fans next year.
