[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Manchester United will introduce a tiered pricing system for domestic Premier League matches in their upcoming home games next season. The new tiered pricing model introduced by Manchester United has been described by fans as a “kick in the teeth.” Manchester United will categorize six Premier League home games as Class A events, with ticket prices ranging from £59 to £97. These teams include Liverpool, Manchester City, Leeds United, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Newcastle United. Eleven league games have been marked as Class B, priced between £57 and £86; two as Class C (£37-£60); and domestic cup matches as Class D (£32-£52). Youth and senior discounts still apply, and this tier system only applies to single-match members, not season ticket holders. The Manchester United Supporters Trust (MUST) claims that fan forums and the Fans Advisory Board (FAB) were not sufficiently consulted on the new structure, and that the cheapest tickets for most league matches have increased by more than 50%. Manchester United sources state that data was submitted to FAB, which requested a review. Before this new measure was introduced, Manchester United fans had previously expressed anger at the mid-season increase in single-match ticket prices to £66 last season.
